The simple-yet-elegant Pinsta has gained a cult following among photographers and other creatives around the world. This lens-less 4x5 camera and darkroom is handmade by a small team in the UK, combining the simplicity of early photography with the ease of on-the-spot developing.

  • No experience required.

  • You’ll go home carrying one or more impressive, analog 4x5 inch photographs.

  • All materials for use during class (cameras, dark bags, photographic paper, developing solutions, syringes) included in registration fee. Just bring your sense of curiosity and dress for the weather!

Individual Sessions (Max 10 participants per session):

  • May 10: 4:30pm-7pm

  • May 11: 1pm-3:30pm

ABOUT MARTIN (Breda, The Netherlands): Martin Vanners is a pinhole photographer, educator, and social media content creator for Pinsta Camera. Drawing on a career at Nikon and Wacom, Martin shifted his focus to the art of pinhole photography, using its timeless simplicity to craft striking, thought-provoking images on photographic paper. His work invites viewers to explore the world through a pinhole of mystery and wonder. Through workshops and exhibitions, Martin inspires others to slow down, embrace experimentation, and uncover the unexpected magic of creating with light.

ABOUT JEN (Port Townsend, WA): Jen is the founder of Raw Art Collective, an incubator for creative projects that foster community engagement. The collective hosts pop-up photography exhibits, workshops, an art vending machine, pinhole photography residency, and a traveling camera obscura. Her work has appeared in Shots magazine and juried exhibitions, and she also serves as a teaching artist at Northwind Art. Jen is most excited about sharing the awe and wonder of Pinsta photography, inviting us to slow down, and embrace the beauty of the unexpected.

Registration is confirmed upon payment. Full refund if the minimum participant count (4 per session) is not met by May 1, 2025.
