Event Details: We love Taps! We thought it would be fun to use the space for one fun night to celebrate the bar and impromptu creativity with our Port Townsend community. Free, Open to the Public, All Ages, No-Host Bar.
DATE and TIME: Saturday, September 10, 2022, 5pm-8pm
LOCATION: Taps at the Guardhouse – Fort Worden Historical State Park – 300 Eisenhower Ave, Port Townsend, WA 98368
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 8/30/2022
CALL FOR CREATIVES: Homage to the bar. Whether you identify as an artist or not. Whether you are formally trained as an artist or not. Seeking impromptu small (less than 6x6x6 inches) creations in any visual medium or genre. Anything you’ve created related to a bar or in a bar goes. Examples include doodles, drawings, paper-folding, smart phone photographs, polaroids, AI drawings, paper napkins, coasters, receipts, match books, sugar packets, corks, bottle caps, can tabs, stir sticks, menus, cans, bottles, etc.
HOW TO SUBMIT: Submit a digital image of your creation, and brief (100 word max) statement about the piece or title of piece by email to therawartcollective@gmail.com by 8/30/2022.
ACCEPTED CREATIONS: All accepted physical creations to be tagged/labelled with artist name (or anonymous), name of piece (if any), contact information, and sales price (if for sale).
All works need to arrive by September 8th. Please email us to arrange local drop off or for shipping address.
If you would like work returned to you, please either include a self-addressed stamped envelope, or pre-arrange local pick-up.
DISCLAIMER AGREEMENT: Work is submitted at the risk of the artist. While all possible care will be taken, Raw Art Collective, its members, or representatives, will not assume responsibility for any loss or damage incurred before, during, or after the exhibit. Your submission signifies your agreement with the terms and conditions stated, including granting permission to Raw Art Collective and Fort Worden to reproduce images of creations for advertising.
